Yoga may reduce the risk of breast cancer by;
  • Stimulating lymph flow,
  • Strengthening the endocrine and immune systems,
  •  Improving our attitude toward the body, according to Yoga Journal.

 For those living with cancer, yoga offers assistance in coping with the condition.

“Chemotherapy, surgery, and some medications can rob you of mental acuity,” says
Sue Cohen, a 54-year-old accountant and breast-cancer survivor (Time magazine), “but yoga helps compensate for the loss.”

Medical pioneer Dr. Dean Ornish has launched a new study about the effects of yoga on men with prostate cancer. So far the data is encouraging, but the study is still in process.
